Hull and Appendages

  • The hull is of sandwich composite construction using Quadriaxial stitched fabrics, end grain balsa core composite material and PVC honeycomb,
  • Solid GRP laminate below waterline.

Engines and Engine Room

  • Access to the engine rooms is via 2 specially moulded large hatches in the aft cockpit floor.

  • Tank vents terminate in the lockers.
  • One water heater of 60lt with 220V resistor element. Complete with strainers, check valves and an accumulator tank.
  • All grey water from showers is discharged overboard by a automatic drain pump.
  • Two large capacity water pressure pumps
  • Each pump draws water from the appropriate fresh water tank and service the entire boat.
  • Two manual 100 Ltr/26.42 US gal/min bilge pumps for each hull.
  • Outlets are above water level and discharge overboard.
  • Holding tanks for 3 x toilets.
  • 4 x hi capacity electric bilge pumps with automatic sensors for main bilge area.
  • 2 x high water bilge audible alarms at navigation table and in cockpit

Electrical

  • On board DC electrics are 12V with two wire-insulated return.
  • Wires are sized to minimize voltage drop.
  • All light current wiring is silicon tinned wiring which is flame proof and does not give off toxic vapours
  • All light current conductors carrying an excess of 50 Amps are 50mm².
  • All light current circuits are protected by Carling DC circuit breakers.
  • Circuit breakers are medium break and are not influenced by ambient temperature changes.
  • Batteries - the ship's auxiliary load consists of 10 x 105 AHR (1000 Ahr) Deltec lead acid batteries.
  • A separate battery is supplied for each engine starting.
  • For good heavy current termination, copper tinned bus bars are used.
  • A comprehensive DC main switch panel is located in the Nav Station.
  • Battery voltmeters, ammeters o switchboard.
  • Batteries - deep cycle maintenance free.
  • AC circuit – including shore power inlet socket, 25m/65’6” shore power cord, electrical panel with necessary breakers and earth leakage.
  • 14 x Euro American 2 pin style AC outlets fitted at various locations on the vessel
